Recently, we decided to put our Artisan Pantry basket to the ultimate test during one of our date nights. This basket is designed as a complete meal experience, featuring pasta, sauce, appetizers, and dessert, all accompanied by a beautiful cutting board. We were eager to see if it would live up to our standards.

The Appetizers

We started with the brie and crackers—and they didn't disappoint. The brie was wonderfully creamy, and the crackers paired perfectly with it. Our team member Trish also sampled the olives and declared them some of the best she's ever had. In fact, customers who've received these olives in other baskets have come back asking to purchase them separately. That's the kind of quality we're talking about.

The Main Course

Next came the pasta. The portion size is generous—easily enough for three to four people. What impressed us most was the consistency in shape, which is crucial for even cooking. It prepared in the standard 10–12 minutes without any issues.

For a true test, we kept the sauce simple: no added spices, no salt or pepper—just warmed and tossed with the pasta. The result? Buono! The sauce coated the pasta beautifully without being watery, and it was well-seasoned right out of the jar. We were so impressed that we found ourselves going back for seconds. Given that we typically add extra spices to store-bought sauces, finding one this excellent on its own is a genuine highlight. The basket also includes garlic bread sticks to round out the meal perfectly.

The Sweet Finish

We had some initial doubts about the hazelnut waffles—prepared desserts can sometimes fall flat—but they were absolutely delectable. They satisfied our sweet tooth beautifully and paired wonderfully with the savoury flavours of the main course.
